Confidence/openness: Coaching is a very personal service and it's important you feel comfortable with the coach you're working with. Therefore we start with an Intake - a chat to see if we are on the same wavelength, during which we will fine-tune your personal and/or professional goals.
We value empathy, respect and integrity highly; by communicating understanding of others’ experiences, being moral in dealings with others, personal straightforwardness, honesty and coherence. The coach will promote openness of the coachee and return the favor by presenting a mirror of the coachees behavior and beliefs. The partnership between the coach and coachee is, of course, confidential. Whatever is asked, said or considered remains between the two (as long as the coach does not foresee any serious life threatening danger in anyone’s life).
Responsibility; in the confidential partnership between the coach and coachee, the coach is responsible for the process and techniques and the coachee is responsible for the motivation and results. Koru’s coaches are committed to continuous development, enhancing the quality of professional knowledge and its application. Coach and coachee will both confirm their commitment on achieving the personal goals agreed upon, through a written 'agreement', with their responsibilities defined.
Sustainability; coaching should lead to sustainable change, which means long lasting results, in line with your personal values. During the sessions the coachee will acquire techniques which can be re-used in the future when similar situations arise. To support this, the coachee will receive all exercises in hardcopy, as a reminder and opportunity to repeat. Also Koru coaching provides Post Coaching Support, through email, messaging and/or by phone when appropriate.
Happiness; Live the life you want. Koru coaching believes positive attitudes will get you where you want to be. Whatever you are doing, you may as well enjoy it. Which is why we intend to create enjoyable coaching sessions, often outdoors in a park or at the beach, with the occasional fun and humor.
